# Anglotopia vs Going

Anglotopia and Going both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Anglotopia's written reviews are positive against 26% of Going's. Anglotopia also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 9). Going's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 6 months) and ratings volume (6.2K vs 5). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Going sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $24.00 per year. Anglotopia asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Anglotopia against 4.7 for Going. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Going has 6.2K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 100% of Anglotopia's written reviews are positive against 26% of Going's.

Anglotopia ships an update every 6 months, Going weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
