# Flighty vs Fly

The clearest difference is monetization model: Fly at free against Flighty's freemium. Fly also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.0). Flighty's advantage is ratings volume (160K vs 49) and chart position (#2 vs unranked). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flighty sells 17 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Fly sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Flighty holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flighty has 160K ratings behind it against 49, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 68% of Flighty's written reviews are positive against 75% of Fly's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Flighty ships an update every 3 weeks, Fly monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
