# VPN Vault vs VPN

The clearest difference is ratings volume: VPN at 2.1M against VPN Vault's 29K. VPN also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks) and chart position (#10 vs unranked). VPN Vault's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VPN Vault sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and VPN sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for VPN Vault against 4.6 for VPN. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VPN has 2.1M ratings behind it against 29K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 86% of VPN Vault's written reviews are positive against 90% of VPN's.

VPN Vault ships an update every 3 weeks, VPN weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
