# VPN Vault vs VPN Proxy

The clearest difference is monetization model: VPN Vault at free with in-app purchases against VPN Proxy's subscription. VPN Vault also leads on rating (4.6 vs 4.1) and review sentiment (86% vs 61%). VPN Proxy's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VPN Vault sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and VPN Proxy sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

VPN Vault holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VPN Vault has 29K ratings behind it against 691, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 86% of VPN Vault's written reviews are positive against 61% of VPN Proxy's.

VPN Vault ships an update every 3 weeks, VPN Proxy every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
