# VPN Vault vs Secure VPN Proxy

The clearest difference is monetization model: VPN Vault at free with in-app purchases against Secure VPN Proxy's subscription. VPN Vault also leads on ratings volume (29K vs 4.6K). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VPN Vault sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Secure VPN Proxy sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for VPN Vault against 4.6 for Secure VPN Proxy. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VPN Vault has 29K ratings behind it against 4.6K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 86% of VPN Vault's written reviews are positive against 85% of Secure VPN Proxy's.

VPN Vault ships an update every 3 weeks, Secure VPN Proxy monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
