# VPN Vault vs Routinow

The clearest difference is ads: Routinow at none against VPN Vault's shown. Routinow also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and update cadence (every 3 days vs every 3 weeks). VPN Vault's advantage is ratings volume (29K vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.0). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VPN Vault sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Routinow sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VPN Vault has 29K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
