# AppLink Next vs Sync

The clearest difference is review sentiment: AppLink Next at 100% against Sync's 17%. AppLink Next also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription). Sync's advantage is ratings volume (4.1K vs 20) and rating (4.6 vs 4.3). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AppLink Next sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Sync sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Sync holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sync has 4.1K ratings behind it against 20, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of AppLink Next's written reviews are positive against 17% of Sync's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
