# AppLink Next vs AI Chat

The clearest difference is ads: AppLink Next at none against AI Chat's shown. AppLink Next also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 90%). AI Chat's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (2K vs 20). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AppLink Next sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and AI Chat sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AI Chat holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AI Chat has 2K ratings behind it against 20, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of AppLink Next's written reviews are positive against 90% of AI Chat's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

AppLink Next ships an update monthly, AI Chat every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
