# Go Rap vs Vocal Ninja

The clearest difference is monetization model: Vocal Ninja at free with in-app purchases against Go Rap's subscription. Vocal Ninja also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months) and review sentiment (80% vs 64%). Go Rap's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (755 vs 57). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Go Rap sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Vocal Ninja sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Go Rap against 4.6 for Vocal Ninja. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Go Rap has 755 ratings behind it against 57, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 64% of Go Rap's written reviews are positive against 80% of Vocal Ninja's.

Go Rap ships an update every 2 months, Vocal Ninja weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
