# PRIME Wire vs ASC

The clearest difference is rating: PRIME Wire at 4.7 against ASC's 3.3. PRIME Wire also leads on ratings volume (1K vs 55) and review sentiment (39% vs 25%). ASC's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 months) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 14.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

PRIME Wire holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PRIME Wire has 1K ratings behind it against 55, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 39% of PRIME Wire's written reviews are positive against 25% of ASC's.

PRIME Wire ships an update every 6 months, ASC every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
