# Polaris Viewer vs Recnote

The clearest difference is ads: Recnote at none against Polaris Viewer's shown. Polaris Viewer's advantage is device support (4 vs 2) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Polaris Viewer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Recnote sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
