# StartSe vs BYAPP

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: BYAPP at none against StartSe's 3. StartSe's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 13 months) and ratings volume (60 vs 7). On price, rating and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. StartSe sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. BYAPP asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for StartSe against 5.0 for BYAPP. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: StartSe has 60 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two.

StartSe ships an update every 2 weeks, BYAPP every 13 months. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and September 17, 2026 respectively.
