# CrunchIoT vs HCG Connect

The clearest difference is update cadence: HCG Connect at every 2 weeks against CrunchIoT's every 3 months. HCG Connect also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

CrunchIoT ships an update every 3 months, HCG Connect every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
