# Energizer Connect vs Arlo Secure

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Energizer Connect at none against Arlo Secure's 10. Energizer Connect also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (4.7 vs 4.2). Arlo Secure's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 3 months) and review sentiment (56% vs 36%). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Arlo Secure sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Energizer Connect asks for nothing beyond the download.

Energizer Connect holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Arlo Secure has 421K ratings behind it against 9.6K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 36% of Energizer Connect's written reviews are positive against 56% of Arlo Secure's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
