# Dot Watch 2 vs PingPath

Dot Watch 2 and PingPath both sit at 4.4 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Dot Watch 2's written reviews are positive against 50% of PingPath's. Dot Watch 2 also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 18.0). On price, rating, ratings volume and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PingPath sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $3.99 per month. Dot Watch 2 asks for nothing beyond the download.

PingPath holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 5 and 8 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Dot Watch 2's written reviews are positive against 50% of PingPath's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Dot Watch 2 ships an update every 6 weeks, PingPath every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
