# Moxy Messenger vs Cue

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Cue at 100% against Moxy Messenger's 40%. Cue also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.1) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 weeks). Moxy Messenger's advantage is ratings volume (1.3K vs 4) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Moxy Messenger sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Cue sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Cue holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Moxy Messenger has 1.3K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 40% of Moxy Messenger's written reviews are positive against 100% of Cue's.

Moxy Messenger ships an update every 2 weeks, Cue every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
