# Guardian Firewall + VPN vs FireWall Security

The clearest difference is review sentiment: FireWall Security at 100% against Guardian Firewall + VPN's 46%. FireWall Security also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 7). Guardian Firewall + VPN's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.0) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 19 months). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Guardian Firewall + VPN sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. FireWall Security asks for nothing beyond the download.

Guardian Firewall + VPN holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Guardian Firewall + VPN has 869 ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 46% of Guardian Firewall + VPN's written reviews are positive against 100% of FireWall Security's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Guardian Firewall + VPN ships an update every 2 months, FireWall Security every 19 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
