# picFind vs Slide AR

The clearest difference is price: Slide AR at Free against picFind's $5.00. Slide AR also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (weekly vs every 12 months). picFind's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 3.8) and in-app purchases (none vs 1). On review sentiment, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Slide AR is free to download; picFind costs $5.00 up front. Slide AR sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per year. picFind asks for nothing beyond the download.

picFind holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: picFind has 111 ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 17% of picFind's written reviews are positive against 23% of Slide AR's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

picFind ships an update every 12 months, Slide AR weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
