# Tip Calculator Plus+ vs Ultimate Tip Calculator

The clearest difference is price: Tip Calculator Plus+ at Free against Ultimate Tip Calculator's $0.99. Tip Calculator Plus+ also leads on ratings volume (6.9K vs 72) and rating (4.8 vs 4.6). Ultimate Tip Calculator's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 57%) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 months). On ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Tip Calculator Plus+ is free to download; Ultimate Tip Calculator costs $0.99 up front. Tip Calculator Plus+ sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Ultimate Tip Calculator sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Tip Calculator Plus+ holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tip Calculator Plus+ has 6.9K ratings behind it against 72, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 57% of Tip Calculator Plus+'s written reviews are positive against 100% of Ultimate Tip Calculator's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Tip Calculator Plus+ ships an update every 3 months, Ultimate Tip Calculator every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 21, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
