# Tip Calculator Plus+ vs InstaTip

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Tip Calculator Plus+ at 6.9K against InstaTip's 41. InstaTip's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 months) and review sentiment (79% vs 57%). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tip Calculator Plus+ sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and InstaTip sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Tip Calculator Plus+ against 4.8 for InstaTip. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tip Calculator Plus+ has 6.9K ratings behind it against 41, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 57% of Tip Calculator Plus+'s written reviews are positive against 79% of InstaTip's.

Tip Calculator Plus+ ships an update every 3 months, InstaTip every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
