# Spare vs Telda

Spare and Telda both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 42% of Telda's written reviews are positive against 11% of Spare's. Telda also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs every 10 days) and ratings volume (2.7K vs 472). Spare's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Spare against 4.8 for Telda. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Telda has 2.7K ratings behind it against 472, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 11% of Spare's written reviews are positive against 42% of Telda's.

Spare ships an update every 10 days, Telda every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
