# Nitpic vs Pic

The clearest difference is rating: Pic at 4.7 against Nitpic's 3.3. Pic also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 48 months) and ratings volume (1.7K vs 3). Nitpic's advantage is review sentiment (67% vs 31%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Pic holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pic has 1.7K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Nitpic's written reviews are positive against 31% of Pic's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Nitpic ships an update every 48 months, Pic every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on June 5, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
