# yallo vs ControlPad

yallo and ControlPad both sit at 4.9 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of ControlPad's written reviews are positive against 25% of yallo's. ControlPad also leads on update cadence (every 4 weeks vs every 7 months). yallo's advantage is ratings volume (35 vs 2) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 26.0). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for yallo against 5.0 for ControlPad. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: yallo has 35 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 25% of yallo's written reviews are positive against 100% of ControlPad's.

yallo ships an update every 7 months, ControlPad every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
