# Flying Gorilla vs Fall Ball

The clearest difference is rating: Flying Gorilla at 4.9 against Fall Ball's 3.4. Flying Gorilla also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 17 months) and ratings volume (57K vs 18). Fall Ball's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flying Gorilla sells 7 one-off in-app purchases and Fall Ball sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Flying Gorilla holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flying Gorilla has 57K ratings behind it against 18, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Flying Gorilla ships an update fortnightly, Fall Ball every 17 months. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and September 20, 2026 respectively.
