# Flying Gorilla vs Cat Car

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Cat Car at none against Flying Gorilla's 7. Cat Car also leads on iOS requirement (10.0 vs 15.0). Flying Gorilla's advantage is rating (4.9 vs 4.5) and ratings volume (58K vs 8). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flying Gorilla sells 7 one-off in-app purchases. Cat Car asks for nothing beyond the download.

Flying Gorilla holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flying Gorilla has 58K ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 95% of Flying Gorilla's written reviews are positive against 100% of Cat Car's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
