# Sailmon vs Zef

The clearest difference is rating: Zef at 4.6 against Sailmon's 3.0. Zef also leads on ratings volume (41 vs 2) and device support (5 vs 3). Sailmon's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 91%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sailmon sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Zef sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Zef holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Zef has 41 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Sailmon's written reviews are positive against 91% of Zef's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Sailmon ships an update every 2 weeks, Zef fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
