# Townelink vs xHP Flashtool

The clearest difference is rating: xHP Flashtool at 4.9 against Townelink's 4.2. xHP Flashtool also leads on ratings volume (2.7K vs 11) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). Townelink's advantage is monetization model (free vs paid) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 15.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

xHP Flashtool holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: xHP Flashtool has 2.7K ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Townelink's written reviews are positive against 94% of xHP Flashtool's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Townelink ships an update every 3 weeks, xHP Flashtool weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
