# MIDISynth Control vs LE05

The clearest difference is rating: LE05 at 4.1 against MIDISynth Control's 3.4. LE05 also leads on ratings volume (139 vs 12). MIDISynth Control's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MIDISynth Control sells 11 one-off in-app purchases and LE05 sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

LE05 holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LE05 has 139 ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 64% of MIDISynth Control's written reviews are positive against 54% of LE05's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MIDISynth Control ships an update every 3 weeks, LE05 every 6 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
