# PTE Exam Practice vs AMEDEX

The clearest difference is review sentiment: PTE Exam Practice at 59% against AMEDEX's 0%. PTE Exam Practice also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 months) and ratings volume (266 vs 1). AMEDEX's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 4) and rating (5.0 vs 4.6). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PTE Exam Practice sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. AMEDEX asks for nothing beyond the download.

AMEDEX holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PTE Exam Practice has 266 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 59% of PTE Exam Practice's written reviews are positive against 0% of AMEDEX's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

PTE Exam Practice ships an update fortnightly, AMEDEX every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
