# PTE Exam Practice vs Celpip12

The clearest difference is ads: PTE Exam Practice at none against Celpip12's shown. PTE Exam Practice also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 months) and ratings volume (266 vs 62). Celpip12's advantage is iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PTE Exam Practice sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and Celpip12 sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $10.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Celpip12 holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 266 and 62 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 59% of PTE Exam Practice's written reviews are positive against 54% of Celpip12's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

PTE Exam Practice ships an update fortnightly, Celpip12 every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
