# RealVPN vs VPN Ninja

The clearest difference is rating: RealVPN at 4.6 against VPN Ninja's 4.3. RealVPN also leads on ratings volume (184 vs 29). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. RealVPN sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and VPN Ninja sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.09 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

RealVPN holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RealVPN has 184 ratings behind it against 29, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 82% of RealVPN's written reviews are positive against 83% of VPN Ninja's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

RealVPN ships an update every 5 days, VPN Ninja every 9 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
