# Jbooks vs UnderText

The clearest difference is update cadence: UnderText at every 10 days against Jbooks's every 2 months. Jbooks's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Jbooks ships an update every 2 months, UnderText every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
