# Ting vs Gohio Commute

Ting and Gohio Commute both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Gohio Commute's written reviews are positive against 72% of Ting's. Ting's advantage is ratings volume (109K vs 4) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Gohio Commute holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ting has 109K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 72% of Ting's written reviews are positive against 100% of Gohio Commute's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
