# Visible mobile vs ESET VPN

The clearest difference is monetization model: Visible mobile at free with in-app purchases against ESET VPN's subscription. Visible mobile also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (242K vs 569). ESET VPN's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.6). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Visible mobile holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Visible mobile has 242K ratings behind it against 569, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 43% and 42% positive.

Visible mobile ships an update every 2 weeks, ESET VPN every 3 months. Both last shipped on October 27, 2026.
