# Monkey Preschool Learning vs DragonPals

The clearest difference is rating: DragonPals at 4.4 against Monkey Preschool Learning's 3.1. DragonPals also leads on monetization model (freemium vs subscription) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months). Monkey Preschool Learning's advantage is review sentiment (20% vs 10%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Monkey Preschool Learning sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and DragonPals sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

DragonPals holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DragonPals has 3.9K ratings behind it against 15, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 20% of Monkey Preschool Learning's written reviews are positive against 10% of DragonPals's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Monkey Preschool Learning ships an update every 3 months, DragonPals fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 29, 2026.
