# UHD A vs Crash Course

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: UHD A at none against Crash Course's 13. UHD A also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). Crash Course's advantage is update cadence (every 4 months vs every 32 months) and ratings volume (1.6K vs 2). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Crash Course sells 13 one-off in-app purchases. UHD A asks for nothing beyond the download.

UHD A holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Crash Course has 1.6K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

UHD A ships an update every 32 months, Crash Course every 4 months. Both last shipped on October 29, 2026.
