# TUM interactive vs Science Simulations

The clearest difference is update cadence: TUM interactive at every 5 days against Science Simulations's every 2 months. TUM interactive also leads on ratings volume (37 vs 4) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 17.6). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

TUM interactive holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TUM interactive has 37 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 94% of TUM interactive's written reviews are positive against 100% of Science Simulations's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

TUM interactive ships an update every 5 days, Science Simulations every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
