# 8it vs Sage Brooklyn

The clearest difference is review sentiment: 8it at 83% against Sage Brooklyn's 0%. 8it also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (206 vs 11). Sage Brooklyn's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.5) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Sage Brooklyn holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 8it has 206 ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 83% of 8it's written reviews are positive against 0% of Sage Brooklyn's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

8it ships an update fortnightly, Sage Brooklyn every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
