# Chime vs VoyTimer

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Chime at none against VoyTimer's 2. Chime also leads on ratings volume (810 vs 148) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). VoyTimer's advantage is update cadence (every 11 days vs every 4 months) and rating (4.5 vs 4.2). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VoyTimer sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Chime asks for nothing beyond the download.

VoyTimer holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Chime has 810 ratings behind it against 148, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 46% of Chime's written reviews are positive against 57% of VoyTimer's.

Chime ships an update every 4 months, VoyTimer every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and September 27, 2026 respectively.
