# Lightstream Racer vs Hot Wheels Run Fast !

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Hot Wheels Run Fast ! at 83% against Lightstream Racer's 34%. Lightstream Racer's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.0) and update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Lightstream Racer sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Hot Wheels Run Fast ! sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Lightstream Racer holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Lightstream Racer has 1.9K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 34% of Lightstream Racer's written reviews are positive against 83% of Hot Wheels Run Fast !'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Lightstream Racer ships an update weekly, Hot Wheels Run Fast ! every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and September 24, 2026 respectively.
