# Boxpaq vs Sotapp

The clearest difference is rating: Sotapp at 5.0 against Boxpaq's 4.4. Sotapp also leads on update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 7 months). Boxpaq's advantage is ratings volume (30 vs 6) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Sotapp holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Boxpaq has 30 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Boxpaq ships an update every 7 months, Sotapp every 5 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
