# NetTV vs EPlay

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: EPlay at none against NetTV's 1. EPlay also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months). NetTV's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (58% vs 33%). On price, rating, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NetTV sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. EPlay asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for NetTV against 4.6 for EPlay. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: NetTV has 383 ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 58% of NetTV's written reviews are positive against 33% of EPlay's.

NetTV ships an update every 3 months, EPlay monthly. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
