# Chicago CTA Bus Tracker vs Arrive Chicago Transit

The clearest difference is ads: Arrive Chicago Transit at none against Chicago CTA Bus Tracker's shown. Arrive Chicago Transit also leads on rating (4.6 vs 4.2) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Chicago CTA Bus Tracker's advantage is ratings volume (204 vs 5) and review sentiment (60% vs 50%). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Arrive Chicago Transit holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Chicago CTA Bus Tracker has 204 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of Chicago CTA Bus Tracker's written reviews are positive against 50% of Arrive Chicago Transit's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
