# Sharelock vs TextPort

The clearest difference is rating: Sharelock at 5.0 against TextPort's 4.4. Sharelock also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). TextPort's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (1.4K vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sharelock sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and TextPort sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Sharelock holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TextPort has 1.4K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Sharelock ships an update every 3 months, TextPort every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
