# Sharelock vs Jamp Jamp VPN

The clearest difference is ads: Sharelock at none against Jamp Jamp VPN's shown. Sharelock also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Jamp Jamp VPN's advantage is ratings volume (792 vs 1) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 3 months). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sharelock sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Jamp Jamp VPN sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Sharelock holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Jamp Jamp VPN has 792 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
