# Flite vs SelfNote

The clearest difference is rating: SelfNote at 5.0 against Flite's 4.3. Flite's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and ratings volume (42 vs 5). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SelfNote sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Flite asks for nothing beyond the download.

SelfNote holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flite has 42 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Flite ships an update fortnightly, SelfNote monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
