# Lynx vs Student Nexus

The clearest difference is update cadence: Lynx at every 3 days against Student Nexus's every 4 weeks. Lynx also leads on ratings volume (6 vs 1) and iOS requirement (11.2 vs 14.0). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Lynx against 5.0 for Student Nexus. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Lynx has 6 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Lynx ships an update every 3 days, Student Nexus every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
