# VPN vs Lockdown Privacy

The clearest difference is review sentiment: VPN at 90% against Lockdown Privacy's 33%. VPN also leads on ratings volume (2.1M vs 9.8K) and rating (4.6 vs 4.3). Lockdown Privacy's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VPN sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and Lockdown Privacy sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

VPN holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VPN has 2.1M ratings behind it against 9.8K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 90% of VPN's written reviews are positive against 33% of Lockdown Privacy's.

VPN ships an update weekly, Lockdown Privacy monthly. Both last shipped on November 7, 2026.
