# VPN vs TikVPN

The clearest difference is ratings volume: VPN at 2.1M against TikVPN's 309. VPN also leads on review sentiment (90% vs 77%) and chart position (#9 vs unranked). TikVPN's advantage is iOS requirement (13 vs 16.0). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VPN sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and TikVPN sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for VPN against 4.6 for TikVPN. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VPN has 2.1M ratings behind it against 309, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 90% of VPN's written reviews are positive against 77% of TikVPN's.

VPN ships an update weekly, TikVPN fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
