# VPN vs TRM

The clearest difference is rating: VPN at 4.6 against TRM's 1.0. VPN also leads on ratings volume (2.1M vs 2) and chart position (#11 vs unranked). TRM's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 10) and ads (none vs shown). On price, update cadence, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VPN sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. TRM asks for nothing beyond the download.

VPN holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VPN has 2.1M ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

VPN ships an update weekly, TRM fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
